Since 1939, Andy Myers Lodge on Eagle Lake in northwest Ontario, Canada has been the freshwater fishing destination for the world’s best anglers. Generations have come for the incomparable fishing, the comfortable lakeside accommodations, and for the knowledge and camaraderie of expert guides, attentive staff, and dedicated fellow fishermen. Today, with major investments in new facilities and boats, this legendary Canada fishing lodge and hunting outfitter is better than ever.
Eagle Lake, Ontario is famous for its fishing and scenic beauty. The lake’s 68,000 acres are filled with 490 islands and countless bays, channels, reefs, and weed beds to explore. It is one of the only lakes with both numbers and trophy fishing for walleye, muskie, northern pike, lake trout, smallmouth bass. Make sure to check us out in the winter for some amazing ice fishing. You are never far from a fishing hot spot at our lodge, and our professional guides will teach you how to catch the fish of a lifetime.
For an adventure, you will never forget, our industry-leading American Plan packages include a guided 4WD safari or a fly-in to one of over 28 remote lakes where the fish rarely see a boat. Experience Canadian fishing and hunting the way it should be.
The wilderness of forests, lakes, and wetlands surrounding Eagle Lake and the nearby hamlet of Vermilion Bay, Ontario is also premier habitat for record-breaking whitetail deer, abundant waterfowl, and wolves. Each year, a few lucky hunters join our guides to seek a trophy deer or to experience extraordinary duck and goose hunting. Some go for the best of both worlds, hunting waterfowl in the dawn and then casting for a trophy muskie in the afternoon.
We work with you to customize your ideal adventure. Choose from among our different packages and special weeks throughout the season. From the economy and flexibility of our Housekeeping Plan to our all-inclusive American Plan packages, let’s work together to design the dream fishing or hunting trip that is exactly right for you.
Owners Julian and Nicky Kalka are committed to making your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible, with top-notch facilities and attentive staff. Everyone at the lodge also knows that, first and foremost, this is a fishing camp and your satisfaction is tied to catching fish, so there is a strong emphasis on sharing the information you need to succeed. The finest local guides in the industry are on staff and some of the best professionals in the country come throughout the season to serve as guest fishing instructors.
To begin your week, there is a seminar taught by a top professional every Sunday night. The latest patterns, techniques, hot spots, and baits are freely shared. Maps are marked up for those guiding themselves. And every evening, there is good, old fashioned fishing talk in the lodge. Often, your companion at the dining table is a top fishing pro or seasoned angler who has been fishing the lake for twenty years. If you need more help, just ask and you will get it. They are always willing to share some of their tips.
If you have family or friends who are not fishing or hunting, there are lots of other activities at Andy Myers Lodge. Take a swim, sunbathe, canoe, hike the forest, enjoy the scenery and wildlife, go berry picking, or just plain relax. There is nothing quite like sitting by the lake listening to the calling loons or the wind whispering through the trees.
