Andy Myers Lodge is more than just Ontario’s premier fishing and hunting lodge, it’s an escape from the stress of the daily grind. We take pride in matching our world-class fishing and hunting experiences with some of the best fishing camp accommodations you will find anywhere in Ontario’s Sunset Country.

The Cabins

Enjoy the excitement of visiting a true Canadian fishing camp without sacrificing your comfort. Our Eagle Lake lodging has 15 individual handcrafted cabins to handle any size group, with parking for all. From romantic lakeside Cabin 7, where you can fish prime water from the lawn to capacious and fully winterized Cabin 1, where the whole extended family can stay, each one is a perfect retreat after a great day’s fishing and a relaxing evening at the Main Lodge. You are in the Canadian wilds, but with amenities that frontiersmen never even dreamed about!

Our cabins are designed so they match the natural beauty of their surroundings. Construction blends the charm of traditional log homes with all of the comforts of 21st-century living. Each climate-controlled cabin is fully furnished and features a gas heater, air conditioner, electric refrigerator, range, and full bathroom(s). Most have lake view decks with barbecue grills. Inside, kitchens are thoughtfully outfitted with food preparation gear and eating utensils, and bedrooms and baths have fresh bed linens and towels. American Plan guests have maid service daily, and even Housekeeping Plan guests enjoy mid-week maid service.

There is a Laundry adjacent to the Main Lodge for your convenience and a Fish Fry Shack for socializing. On the shore of Eagle Lake, even the Shack has a scenic view and a front deck where you can enjoy fresh walleye snacks and mix your own cocktails (there are liquor stores in Vermilion Bay and Dryden), while socializing with other guests and the guides, and learning who let the big one getaway.

At Andy Myers Lodge, you spend your time fishing on the lake, hunting wild game, or simply relaxing and enjoying the solitude of the Canadian wilderness, and then come back to a hot shower in your own private bathroom. Our facilities and accommodations reduce what you need to bring to a minimum. Check-In for standard weeks is 3:00 PM Saturday and Check-Out is 10 AM Saturday. Consult with staff about Check-In for short-stay packages.

The Main Lodge

Centrally located amidst the cabins is the new 7,000 square foot, two-story, Main Lodge (opened 2018). The lodge looks over the lake and features a 12 X 80-foot deck as well as all-glass window frontage toward the lake for a spectacular view with your sunrise coffee or evening meal. The dining area shares the view and seats up to 70 guests. Enjoy hearty home-cooked breakfasts and evening meals when you purchase our American Plan Package or just evening meals with the Housekeeping Package. Coffee is available in the Lodge at 6:30 AM, breakfast starts at 7:00 AM and dinner is served at 6:00 PM.

Breakfasts include hot or cold cereal, muffins or toast, eggs, pancakes or French toast, home fries, bacon, and sausages, as well as coffee, tea, and juice.

Lunches include chips, apples or oranges, sandwiches, homemade cookies, and candy.

The Main Lodge is built around a large socializing and relaxing area with couches and comfortable seating for multiple Satellite TV viewing arrangements in front of a large stone fireplace. Check out the glorious Rick Lax reproductions of notable Eagle Lake fish. For our famous Sunday night instructional seminars, we have a stage complete with live-action and instructional video sequences. The Lodge also has a tackle and rental shop, and a clothing and gift shop. WIFI is available throughout the Main Lodge as well as a 24-Hour Phone. For transportation, Andy Myers Lodge can arrange round trip shuttle service to the airports in Dryden, Ontario; Winnipeg, Manitoba; or International Falls, Minnesota.

The new lodge includes living quarters, offices, and accommodations for singles or small groups on shorter or off-schedule stays. For those who fancy some late fall or ice fishing, the lodge and its three guest rooms are fully winterized, and these, coupled with four winterized cabins, will comfortably accommodate up to 24 guests in true four-season fashion. We are open whenever you want, regardless of the weather!

Generally, we encourage our guests to leave their pets at home. However, we sometimes are able to make exceptions, so contact us for information about your individual situation.

At The Dock

The dock lies in a sheltered location near the back of a quiet bay, meaning that docking the boats is easy. All the slips are fully outfitted with lights and properly wired electrical outlets, allowing you the peace of mind of knowing that your batteries will be fully charged next time you go out on the lake. Gas and bait are available at the dock. Long-time guests will be delighted to learn that we now have a boat launch ramp at the lodge, so it is no longer necessary to launch at the Government Dock in Vermilion Bay.

The boathouse has storage for camp gear like nets, paddles, and life-preservers. It also houses a repair station, bait tanks, fish cleaning facilities, freezers, battery chargers, and a water purification system for the camp. American Plan guests will find their shore lunch kits or their lunches in coolers outside the boathouse each morning.

We are rightly proud of our Eagle Lake accommodations, and every member of the staff at Andy Myers Lodge is dedicated to making sure that you have the trip of a lifetime!
